My name is Frank Dwyer. Hiking is my passion and hospitality is my business. The fact that I get to do both in South Africa’s exquisite natural environment is my good fortune. A born and bred South African, I am also an unashamed convert to the pleasures of slackpacking.
I am a trained hike leader and a registered Nature Guide, with 30 years’ of experience in the hospitality and catering industry.
My speciality is catered and serviced walking tours and trails. My goal is for you to have the best outdoor experience ever, while enjoying true South African hospitality.
Quote of the day
From an American tourist who had been in South Africa for three weeks, to a group of students, just arrived, who were hiking with me up Platteklip Gorge to the top of Table Mountain: “Warning – South Africa is a dangerous country – you are in danger of falling in love with it and wanting to spend more time here. There is such incredile diversity and the people are so friendly.”
